Grapes Of Wrath

Last year at Disney Hall, the Festival presented the premiere of the concert highlights of the great new American musical drama,
Grapes Of Wrath performed by Grant Gershon and the Los Angeles Master Chorale. Although GRAPES is technically an opera, its composer and librettist, Ian Ricky Gordon and Michael Korie are very much part of the musical theater world. (And what difference does it make, anyhow?)

On June 7th, at 9 PM, at the regular broadcast time of the Metropolitan Opera, KUSC will present the first Southern California broadcast of the complete three-hour performance by Grant Gershon and the Minnesota Opera.
